A dreamy evening

Floating away, the white-bloused apparition
          left behind lit windows and tall doorways,
Taking with measured steps her measureless beauty
          from clipped framed lawns to our dusty rendezvous.

Reaching, with her melodious voice she
          stopped time, then rolled it to and fro at will;
Into the warm stiff air of the Ramadan evening
          her kohl eyes stirred a bewitching sweetness.
