Velapanthi>Poems>Loving, and wondering

The unnatural ascetic

Maelstroms must grind and churn
Beneath his countenance placid,
Passions must lust and rage
Though he hold his body, intent, flaccid.

How long can he deny the luscious nature
Of the fiber he is made of?

Lush body of a woman, full sound of a baby
Must wake his heart with a cool-fingered touch,
Releasing floods of flush emotions
For a brief interlude, if not for much.

But why should he deny the loving nature
Of the fiber he is made of?
