Velapanthi>Poems>Walking softly

An old photograph of me

In the faded photo
soft morning sun
cut tangled paths
through dawn's soft shadows

Hanging in the still air
was scent of chandrakantas
that blossomed with dusk
and shriveled moistly with dawn

Sitting on still swing
child squinted at the sun
stretched out his legs
and braced for Time.
